American Tree Sparrow

These sparrows nest in Northern Manitoba and beyond and are a sure sign of Winter when they're seen in the Fall. They do look similar in appearance to Chipping Sparrows but take note of their rusty eyeline and black spot on their chest. Chipping sparrows lack the black spot and have a black eyeline.
