Jennifer
Owner
Certified Bird Feeding Specialist
Jennifer started bringing people and nature together in Spring 2006. Bird feeding was always a part of her family’s life and eventually it turned into a career. Usually, Jen can be found working behind the scenes but being on the sales floor chatting with customers is her favourite place to be. Jen loves to snowshoe on her property and spend time with her family. Her favourite feeder is the EcoTough Catch-a-Seed Tray because it attracts a large variety of birds including her favourite bird, the Mourning Dove. Her favourite food to offer to her backyard birds is Bark Butter because in brings in those elusive birds that don’t eat seed.

She pursued formal education to deepen her knowledge of wildlife and explore ways to protect it. In her free time Kirsten is a wildlife photographer and enjoys birding trips with her family but one of her favourite pastimes is watching birds visit her backyard. Her favourite feeders are suet feeders that attract Nuthatches and, more recently, a Pileated Woodpecker. Her favourite foods to offer are Super Suet cakes and Bark Butter Bits. While it's hard to pick just one favourite, some of Kirsten's top bird choices include the Ruddy Duck, White-breasted Nuthatch, and Bohemian Waxwings.

Andrea (She/Her)
Sales Associate
Certified Bird Feeding Specialist
Andrea has been helping to bring people and nature together since Autumn 2024. She loves being outside and is usually up for an adventure down a new hiking trail or path. Andrea delights in watching the birds change with the seasons: Robins and Northern Flickers aerating the lawn, Redstarts flashing their tail feathers, energetic little Kinglets foraging in the bushes, Fox Sparrows performing a two-step in dried leaves, and acrobatic Redpolls arriving for a winter snack. Andrea’s first bird feeder was the Eco Tough Classic Hopper mounted on the APS pole system (long before she joined the Wild Birds flock, Andrea was a customer). That hopper has fed many a bird and still looks as good as the first day it was filled. It’s been a wonderful puzzle to customize the pole system with different attachments and feeders over the years. And it only took adding one bird bath to Andrea’s yard to convince her that she needed three more!
